Part 1: Mariana’s Journey: Miscarriage, C-Section Pressure, and the Impact of Birth Trauma

In this honest and emotional episode, Mariana opens up about her first pregnancy, which ended in an early miscarriage. She shares how painful it was to be treated so coldly and dismissively by the ultrasound technician, and how hard it was to return to “normal” life while still grieving such a profound loss. Mariana then takes us through her next pregnancy, where she initially felt hopeful under the care of an OB she trusted to support her desire for a natural birth—only to be disappointed when he repeatedly told her she “didn’t look like she could handle it” and ultimately pushed for a c-section. Mariana reflects on how both of these experiences have deeply impacted her journey as a mother and shaped her feelings about growing her family in the future. Tune in next week for part 2, where she shares the story of her second pregnancy and birth.
